The 1911 Census is a most welcome addition for historical researchers and demographers and importantly helps to identify those bracnhes of families that did not migrate post famine decades.

I have just returned from (freezing) Ireland including a visit to Bruff, a wonderful area, where further research was undertaken on the Dooley, O'Brien, O'Connor and Casey families.

Special thanks to Canon Jim Costello for his assistance.

This research project is examining 19th century migration patterns to distant lands. Was, for example, the choice to emigrate to Australia rather than the US or Canada, an intentional decision?

Welcome hearing from other researchers.
